Associate Director of High School Review NCAA Indianapolis, IN, United States
Abstract Description : The NCAA has been steadily working toward a more equitable and streamlined review process for high schools and districts. We're excited to share recently implemented updates to NCAA legislation that no longer include separate and additional requirements for "nontraditional" programs (online, blended, etc.). These updates are based on feedback from practitioners and digital learning leaders, and they more effectively address the purpose of NCAA initial eligibility (determining whether student-athletes meet eligibility benchmarks) without adding unnecessary learning environment specifications. We'll also dive into what the changes mean in practice for school leaders, counselors, and others involved in transitions from high school to college.
