Abstract Description : In the online environment, separation through screens poses a significant challenge to effective virtual education, especially when seeking meaningful relationships with students and families. Educators Lynne Behnke and Erin Weaver understand this firsthand. To overcome these barriers, they were inspired by author and educational leader Jimmy Casas’s book Culturize as a guide in building connections in a digital landscape. Lynne and Erin want attendees to explore and connect with Casas’s relatable anecdotes and motivational coaching. As a group, we can brainstorm and reflect on innovative ways to apply his core principles within our online schools, fostering shared collaborations focused on a singular goal: creating “the sticky.”
