Abstract Description : Before students and teachers can become the best they can be, they must first feel that they belong and are a respectedmember of our community. How can we best facilitate these connections in an online environment? How can we be sure that all individuals are heard and valued?
During this collaborative and engaging session, let's discuss how intentionally creating opportunities for socialization and leadership in our student and teacher communities is vital for virtual schools. Let's share what works and what doesn't work, and leave with a few new strategies to help both our students and teachers become the best they can be!
