Have you ever asked yourself these questions? Do you want to be a positive ally for all students and accepting of all colleagues, too, but you're unsure how? This introductory session is a strong first step in growing your own understanding of LGBTQIA+ identities and experiences which can help you provide a safe classroom space and dynamic for all. Together, we will break down the "alphabet soup" of LGBTQIA+ and discover how to create belonging for all learners and colleagues.

Learning Objectives:
At the end of the session, participants will be able to define a deeper understanding of the identities, experiences, and challenges that currently face LGBTQIA+ learners.
At the end of the session, participants will identify new tools and resources to aid them in cultivating a positive, bias-free, welcoming space for all learners and colleagues.
At tthe end of the sessions, participants will be able to match LGBTQ+ identities with their definitions.
