Frustrated by low student engagement in your virtual classes? We were too. We created BigBlueButton, an open source, pedagogy-first virtual classroom with built-in tools active learning and live analytics to ensure every student learns. In this session, you'll learn how to apply theories like Bloom’s Taxonomy, Vygotsky’s ZPD, and Social Constructivism to create richer, more impactful online learning experiences for students.
We’ll share our eight-stage framework for more effective online classes, our experiences in using visual assessment, automatic poll generation, analytics, and other tools (such as H5P) to increase active learning. After this session, you'll leave with actionable strategies, grounded in Pedagogy, for more effective virtual classes that ensure students learn.
