Engaging Students in the Virtual Classroom

This session will focus on student engagement at one 7^th-12^th grade school and will look at specific engagement strategies observed in the past 6 months and evaluate the effectiveness of each strategy vis a vis student engagement. Attendees will be given copies of the evaluation tool utilized. Session leaders will present 6 different engagement strategies, review the basic premise of each strategy and finally present the percentage of observations in which the strategy was used vs the number of students demonstrating engagement at a minimal level when presented with each strategy.
