Abstract Description :

Want to know the key elements needed to run a successful online tutoring program for students? This session will review topics anyone thinking about starting an online tutoring program needs to consider. Who is the targeted audience? What type of tutoring will you provide? When will the tutoring take place? Who is conducting the tutoring sessions? The answers to these questions and more will be covered by staff at North Carolina Virtual Public School, one of the largest state virtual schools in the country.

Learning Objectives:

  • At the end of this session, participants will be able to describe the recommended steps to create and implement an in-house virtual tutoring program.
  • At the end of this session, participants will be able to identify a list of factors to consider when determining the need and utilization for tutoring within their district or school.
  • At the end of this session, participants will be able to identify a list of platform features to consider for the implementation of a tutoring program within their district or school.
