Online educators are tasked with assisting students and/or caretakers with basic technology functions because they are unable to navigate the platforms or utilize the technology requirements for successful engagement in online schools. The time spent coaching users through technology functions pulls from instructional time. While there are some basic technology skills needed to engage in online lerning, many online schools do not have policies that define technology skills requirements for students. This session aims to explore solutions to ensure that students are equipped to effectively navigate the online programs they enroll in and caretakers are prepared to access the information they need on parent portals.
