Abstract Description : High-quality instructional materials (HQIM) are research-based, standards-aligned, and support effective teaching and learning. As more states encourage or mandate the adoption of HQIM, a significant gap is emerging in state frameworks for evaluating HQIM that may overlook digital and online curricula. Review agencies may lack the necessary structures to assess these digital assets for quality. Evaluating HQIM for online and digital courses requires attention to unique course design considerations. Quality Matters (QM) utilizes research-supported standards and best practices to ensure quality in digital learning. Join us for an analysis of how course reviews based on the QM K-12 Rubric align with HQIM requirements and considerations.
