Abstract Description : Explore practical strategies to engage families in meaningful academic partnerships in both online and blended environments. Research highlights the positive impact of family engagement on student success including increased self-confidence, motivation, higher test scores and improved social skills. Engage in discussions on the power of engagement and review three top opportunities to engage with families including effective communication channels, creative games and activities to involve families in academics, and motivational strategies to encourage families and students to collaboratively participate in the learning. Participants will obtain examples they can turnkey to grow strong academic partnerships.

Learning Objectives:
At the end of the session participants will be able to identify at least two research findings demonstrating the positive impact of family engagement on student success, including increased self-confidence, motivation, higher test scores, and improved social skills.
