Abstract Description :

AI brings academic integrity in the online classroom into question. Leveraging AI effectively depends on how we interact with it. Explore the art and science of prompt engineering, highlighting innovative strategies for using AI as a collaboration partner rather than a tool for replication. Maximize AI's potential in the online classroom where the teacher cannot be physically present all the time with practical, actionable strategies that enable AI to assist as a partner for brainstorming, studying, and research. AI can support teachers and students, enhancing online learning experiences and promoting critical and creative thinking.

Learning Objectives:

  • At the end of this session, participants will be able to design and implement effective AI prompts to facilitate brainstorming sessions, enabling students and educators to generate creative ideas and solutions for online classroom activities and projects.
  • At the end of this session, participants will be able to create and utilize AI-driven prompts to serve as personalized study partners, helping students to better understand complex concepts, prepare for assessments, and enhance their overall online learning experience.
  • At the end of this session, participants will be able to distinguish between appropriate and inappropriate use of AI in educational situations and develop a plan for sharing with students.
